This restaurant (I fell this definition a little bit narrow for this place which is at least a bakery and a winery too) is the youngest son of a “glocal” Masterchef: Ciccio Sultano.

If the only sound of this name does not immediately excite your tongue and your soul, then you need to take a flight today and come right now to put your tasting experience to the next level.

 

In our favorites list, I Banchi is on the top of Ragusa Shire chart and it is definitively a “must to see”.

 

I Banchi merges tradition and international reflections to obtain a menu plenty of delicious Sicilian recipes by sea and by earth.

The kitchen is directed by a talented young chef, Giuseppe Cannistrà.

 

The restaurant is located in via Orfanotrofio in Ragusa Ibla, an out of time street; the building hosting this place is a wonderful seventeenth century building even if I prefer to come in the Summer and to have dinner outside in the street.

The menu changes frequently, but our recommendation is to start with the seafood menu and then to try pasta and vegetables. As usual, bread in Sicily is a new experience…as well as the sweets and wines.
