The Ragusa Shire is obviously very well known for the excellence of its restaurants and chefs, on top of the most famous and recognized Italian Guida Michelin, however the Sicilian food tradition has many places where you could enjoy all its different flavors.

If your visiting time is limited or you enjoy eating and walking through the tiny streets in the Ragusa Shire, you’ll have to know the right spots for some tasty traditional street food.

Let’s start!

  1. Ragusa al Forno in Ragusa Superiore (Via Archimede, 498). Here you will find one of the best scaccias in town and great traditional bread, but also rustici to try (salty) and sweets!
  2. Arà in Marina di Ragusa (via Tindari, 15). Here you find the best arancina selection in the area. Arancinas made with vegetables, meat, fish and also nutella. Do not miss it!
  3. Pescheria STOFFA in Modica (via del Campo Sportivo, 4). A family business where you can find fresh fish, seafood, raw or cooked. We recommend to buy a cup with fried fish: a tasteful experience!
  4. Risiu in Ragusa Ibla (via dei Normanni, 13). This is a new concept where everything on the menu has something with local dairy products: from the traditional hot scuffle of ricotta to several mozzarella creations or a fresh cannolo with ricotta, which is never a bad idea.
