Sampieri is a lovely small town built by the front sea with some houses behind. It is only 20 minutes driving far from Marina di Ragusa and 5 minutes from Marina di Modica.
Its beautiful dock has appeared a number of times in the super-famous TV series “Il Commissario Montalbano” (Inspector Montalbano).
During the summer season, this is the place where a lot of people spend their vacation, due to the beautiful beaches, unique spots or the beautiful chalets (facilities for families, groups of friends, etc.), like the Pata Pata and Pappafico, known locations in the Ragusa Shire, especially for the nightlife of the youngest.
Sampieri is also the place where Vota Vota opened the first restaurant, before the one in Marina di Ragusa and honestly, if you are around, this deserves a stop.
Sampieri has also some very view spots for photographers and lovers, such as the great and unique spot of the old furnace.
