Marina di Modica is considered to be the number-one destination of the people living in Modica, as it is located on the Sicilian coast, between Sampieri and Pozzallo.
This small touristic village was significantly known and famous during the ’70 as the most beloved destination for Germans and considered as one of the secret and unknown angles of Sicily. It is obviously during the Summer season that Marina di Modica becomes more crowded and populated, but it still remains a quiet and relaxing oasis between the adjacent bigger and peopled centers.
Full of different kinds of accommodations, Marina di Modica is really for everybody. However, it can be specially recommended a s relaxing pit-stop for middle-age people and families’ vacation tours.
Our “not-to miss” in Marina di Modica is surely a romantic walk during the sunset through the fantastic promenade and the Fornace Penna, just outside the village. The latter is a significant stop-over for the Inspector Montalbano‘s fans as it represented the main location during an important case to solve and since then it has become unmissable for everyone, especially photographers who find a lot of inspiration there.
